You would think that now that Bold & Beautiful has had Luna confess to murdering two people and kidnap Steffy, her days would be numbered. But it ain’t necessarily so. Her crimes pale in comparison to those of a certain other character on the show, and that character is now the daytime drama’s foremost romantic heroine.

Yep, we’re talking about Sheila.
We were thinking to ourselves that Luna’s sudden turn to the dark side was speeding her toward the exit…until we realized that Bold & Beautiful had already printed her out a Get Out of Jail Free card in the template that it created for Sheila. Consider: Sheila has shot (or shot at!) nearly everyone on the show. She has kidnapped so many people that she must buy rope in bulk at Costco. She killed a man with bees. Bees, for heaven’s sake. And then she’s gone and flitted about rubbing it in her detractors’ faces that she’s serving Il Giardino breadsticks instead of time.
And these are just her offenses on Bold & Beautiful. Sheila has a whole other litany of sins ranging from baby-stealing to attempted matricide dating back to her stints on The Young and the Restless. Yet Bold & Beautiful cast her in a love story with Deacon and turned her into a hard-luck heroine, the kind of scrappy underdog who’d finally get the happily ever after she deserves if only she’d stop trying to kill people and get away with it.
Sorry —we mean if only people would stop peskily persecuting her for things that she’s, well, actually done.
The point is, if Sheila is allowed to roam free and insist that she’s changed, even as she laughs about everything that she’s gotten away with, so can and will Luna. The show will say that she underwent some therapy off screen to diminish her homicidal tendencies and return her to the canvas like she was just another halo-clad ingenue.
Albeit the sort who might drug you if you got in her way.
What do you think? Will Bold & Beautiful turn Luna into its next Sheila? On your way to the comments, stop off at the below photo gallery of the show’s most unhinged characters.

Justin may have made some shady moves on Bill’s behalf, but of the two, he was definitely the more level-headed… until the day he snapped. And what he did then is the reason he even made this list. After years of taking orders from his blunt-to-the-point-of-rude boss, Justin decided to let him go down for a hit-and-run on Vinny, even when he knew there was evidence that would exonerate him. When he realized Thomas was about to come forward and spring Bill from jail, Justin knocked him out and locked him up in a cage where he kept him for days before Hope finally freed him!

Bill’s been known to cheat on his wife (with her own sister!), to be ruthless in business, and to manipulate to get what he wants, but the reason he made this gallery is his penchant for going to extremes and getting a little twisted — and we’re not referring to his S&M romp in the bedroom with Quinn. Trying to kill Amber, dumping Ridge out of a helicopter into the ocean, becoming so obsessed with his skyscraper (he named it Skye!) that he blew up a building with his son and Sally inside, covering up the roadside death of Poor Dead Vinny, and taking Sheila into his bed in an attempt to take her down — yeah, those are the things we’re talking about.

The unscrupulous Reese Buckingham only appeared on Bold & Beautiful for a short time, but did a good deal of damage. What kind of disturbed doctor tells a patient their newborn died and then sells the baby to pay off his gambling debts?!? Hope and Liam grieved their infant daughter for the better part of a year until the truth came out, and then it was Steffy’s turn to be devastated when she had to hand her adopted daughter over to her ex and his wife.

Massimo made some pretty deranged moves in the name of family. He paid Brooke’s father $5 million to get her out of town, blackmailed Jackie into keeping Nick and Brooke apart and even launched nude billboards of Brooke in an effort to stop her wedding to his son! Marone also threatened Deacon at gunpoint more than once and spiked his drink to knock him off the wagon.

Thomas blew up Rick Forrester’s car and has been involved in some questionable scenarios over the years in a bid to get what — or who— he wants, but things really took a turn when he became obsessed with Hope following the death of his son’s mother, Caroline. He definitely crossed the line into ‘dark’ territory by forging drawings and letters from his son Douglas, scaring the boy with a ghost to manipulate Hope, and raging at the little tyke. In addition, he contributed to Emma’s death when she ran off the road as he was chasing her, let Hope continue to believe her baby was dead when he knew she was alive, and let Hope think he had died when they argued and he fell into a vat of ‘acid’. The twisted goings-on peaked when he fell for a Hope mannequin and began hallucinating. He’s been on the straight and narrow since having a hematoma in his brain repaired and undergoing therapy.

Deacon has wreaked plenty of havoc in both Genoa City and Los Angeles, and while his exploits generally aren’t of the dark and twisted nature, he’s definitely gone there. We absolutely think forcing the Forresters to listen in while he took Bridget’s virginity qualifies as disturbing! Among his other crimes: kidnapping, blackmail, drugging, and attempted murder when he tried to kill Quinn after she pushed him off a cliff. Payback’s a bitch! More recently, Deacon began a romantic affair with none other than Sheila Carter whilst on parole, and became so besotted with the nine-toed psycho that he not only proposed, but went public with the relationship even though it cost him Hope and Brooke. Pretty unhinged!

We love Amber, but some of her schemes have been next-level… and the list is as long as your arm! She passed her cousin Becky’s baby off as her own, kidnapped Little Eric, strangled Kimberly, attacked Macy and bit her, trapped Ridge and Bridget in a mine, supplied Hope with tainted drugs she’d procured online, and tried to dupe Liam into believing he was the father of her child when it was actually Marcus. There’s more, but you get the picture.

A grown-up Aly Forrester arrived in Los Angeles from overseas without her father, Thorne, and quickly developed a fixation on Hope Logan, her relationships, and her message of purity. She built a shrine to Hope and started talking to her dead mother, Darla, who appeared to her as an orb in hallucinations. Aly slapped Wyatt, loathed Taylor (who was responsible for her mother’s death), and blacked-out photos of Maya and Steffy, who modeled sexy lingerie. Eventually, she managed to strand Steffy at the side of the road and attacked her with a tire iron…this led to her death when Steffy hit her with a rock while defending herself.

Where to begin with this cray-cray Bold & Beautiful character? Morgan seemed to snap after Stephanie Forrester forced her to abort her son Ridge’s baby, and went on to scheme to get pregnant by him even though he was married to Taylor. The redhead even forged emails to make it look as though Taylor was giving Ridge permission to sleep with her! After a miscarriage, Morgan kidnapped Ridge and Taylor’s daughter, Steffy, dyed her hair and passed her off as her own child until she was exposed. Later, Morgan dressed as a clown to get into Steffy’s birthday party, and tried to drown Stephanie in the bathtub after she left her to die in the swimming pool. Following a stint in an asylum, Morgan spirited Ridge — who had amnesia away to Italy and unsuccessfully tried to get him to impregnate her yet again.

Quinn definitely has a dark side, though she tried to clean up her act after marrying Eric Forrester. Sometimes referred to as ‘Crazy Quinn’, she tried to kill or maim Liam more than once when he got in the way of Wyatt’s love for Hope, she pushed Ivy into the Seine, kidnapped Liam when he had amnesia and led him to believe they were married, and shoved Deacon off a cliff intending to murder him. After settling down, Quinn’s trangressions have been on the, ahem, lighter side. She spiked recovering alcoholic Brooke’s drink, slapped her, devised and executed a scheme to marry off Brooke’s husband Ridge to her best friend Shauna, and cheated on Eric with Carter.

Pam’s crazy has toned down, but wow, did she have her moments – especially when she targeted Donna Logan. She locked her in a tanning bed and turned her hair and teeth green, threatened to kill her, held her at gunpoint and dumped honey over her head in hopes a bear would kill her. She also sent her a snake, and put itching powder in her nightgown. In more recent years, Pam’s ire was raised by Quinn, who was opposed to her marrying Charlie in the Forrester mansion…ironically, she plotted to have Donna take Quinn’s place in Eric’s life!

Luna came to Los Angeles as a sweet, young intern who quickly fell in love with Brooke and Ridge’s son, R.J., but we didn’t see her true colors at the start. Even when she ended up in bed with R.J.’s cousin Zende after a party one night, we towed the party line, believing it was all down to too much champagne and an inadvertent dose of her mom’s special mints. It wasn’t until she kissed Bill after they did a paternity test and discovered he was not her dad, that we began to see the light. Luna was twisted. She was kissing the man she believed moments before to be her father. Our soap detective minds began to wonder what else might be going on here. It wasn’t long before our suspicions were confirmed. After Luna drugged Steffy and locked her up in a cage, she confessed that she’d also drugged and killed Deacon’s beloved right hand, Hollis, and the man who claimed to have been her father, Tom Starr. Even worse, she framed her own mother to take the fall. A remorseless murderess! Oh, and for the record, she slept with Zende on purpose and wasn’t drugged at all
